Well, I’m a peaced out guy who just goes with the flow in life. I’m not that tall, I’m kinda short, and I’m a bit of a fatty, haha. I love animals, especially cats, and I love baking… both kinds of baking, if you get what I mean, haha. I also love watching Animal World and cooking shows, and all kinds of stuff!

I go around rescuing stray cats and I do bake sales to help them find forever homes! One day I want to have my own cat cafe with rescue cats and people can come cuddle them and adopt them! That would be the dream…

Blake is smart and serious. He always says what's on his mind, and is the most honest person I know. He’s pretty short-tempered and gets annoyed and impatient with people pretty easily...

Well, he kinda looks like a cool, fit version of me from an alternate universe, haha! He has his hair swooped over to one side, and it’s all shaved on the bottom. He also wears leather jackets and dresses in all black!

Yeah, he’s got a sleeve tattoo on his left arm of a snake. I thought he got it cause' Blake rhymes with snake, but apparently not, haha.

Yeah, Blake’s pretty strong. One time, he threw Maxx out a window! He did martial arts for a while, but I dunno if he still does it, or not.

Yeah, he’s got some scars on his body. He told me he got them when he was working in a factory.

He’s hella smart! He’s really good at figuring stuff out and coming up with solutions to problems. He should be a detective or something.

...Well, he seems to think he knows what’s best for everyone… especially me, but he doesn't always! ...Just cause’ you're smart, doesn't always mean you're always right!

He’s good at fixing and repairing stuff! He knows how to fix the sink and repair broken chairs! He's also good at plant stuff and is a Gardiner! He prefers to be called a "Landscaper" or "Horticulturalist" though. He doesn't like it when I call him a Gardiner, haha.

Dealing with people and emotional stuff... Blake doesn’t go about things in a tactful and sensitive way and can sometimes come across as rude or mean… and yeah, he totally can be rude and mean. He also tries to hide his own emotions and doesn’t like dealing with other people’s emotions either. He gets annoyed with me when I cry and can be really insensitive at times…

Well, he's a gard- I mean, Landscaper, which is totally an artistic talent in my books!

Nah, Blake's not musical, haha.

He did martial arts!

Yeah, he's always been good at that. It got him expelled from school. There was this mean jerk that would always pick on me, and one day he went too far, throwing food all over me in the canteen, mocking me with pig noises. Blake then cornered him behind a classroom and beat him to a pulp. Nobody ever picked on me again after that. But poor Blake got expelled. I kinda think he wanted to get expelled though. He hated school.

24 - Do they have any... powers or abilities you would describe as supernatural or superhuman?
Haha, I guess reading me like a book? He always knows when people are lying, and has a good read on people. That's totally an ability! But he’s also not good with people when it comes to emotional stuff. Like, he can read people well, but he’s also totally clueless when it comes to feelings and stuff.

A grump!

Blake is a total grump! He’s pretty negative about people and the world, and gets angry pretty easily. He never smiles, like in all our family pics, he’s always frowning, haha. He’s also sarcastic, but unintentionally funny with what he says sometimes.

27 - What do you like best about them?
That he’s always looked out for me and had my back, even when we aren’t getting along, and even though he totally finds me annoying... I also like that he just does not give a care what others think and says and does whatever he wants. He’s such a cool guy!

28 - What personality trait or behaviour particularly gets on your nerves?
When he treats me like a child and underestimates me… It’s like he doesn’t think I’m capable of handling stuff on my own. He inserts himself into my problems and tries to fix them for me, sometimes making them worse, cause’ he’s not very tactful with people... I know he totally means well and I appreciate that he cares about me, it just... kinda hurts cause’ it’s like he thinks I’m stupid, or something.

29 - Are they sociable; do they mix well with others?
Nah, Blake’s not a social person. Some people think he’s mean, but he’s not, he just doesn’t know how to deal with people and doesn't want to deal with them usually, like, someone will be talking to him about what they did that day, and Blake will be like “Yeah, I really don’t care. Stop bothering me.” Dude, you can’t just say stuff like that, haha!

Yeah, he looks really cool and like someone you wouldn’t wanna mess with!

Uhm, his morals and integrity?

Nah, Blake wouldn't keep stuff from me. He never lies about stuff and is the most honest and direct person I know!

I don’t think so… sometimes we fight though. There was a period in High school where I thought he hated me and was ashamed of me… but then he got himself expelled beating up my bully.

Haha, well, I guess when mum gave birth to me! He probably held little me as a bambino burrito in his arms, and I would have been like crying, and he would have been like “Grr, can I go now?”

Well, he’s started seeing a new girl named Jaclyn. I dunno if they’re official or not though, it’s only fresh! She seems nice though! She also likes cats, so she's good in my books!

Yes... even though he upsets me at times.

He totally finds me annoying, haha.

I don't think he likes children. Like, even when he was a kid, he didn't wanna be around other kids.

Well, I’m his family, haha! Dad was born and raised in Sicily, and met mum when she was travelling there in the 60s with her hippie friends. Mum was from Australia and they eventually moved here together and started a family here. So, most of our family is in Sicily. I don’t really know them well though. Dad taught me and Blake how to speak Italian so we could speak to Nonno and Nonna overseas, as they don’t speak English. Sì, parlo italiano, adoro cucinare cibo e coccolare i gatti!

Our parents are hella hippy! We even lived in and travelled in a bus for a few months! They didn't like being tied down anywhere for long, so we moved around a fair bit, from house to house, school to school. I loved meeting new friends in a new exciting place! I don't think Blake liked this though, as he was always grumpy and locked himself away for days whenever we moved again. During the time we were living on the bus, dad found a box of abandoned kittens dumped by a creek we were at, and he took them all in! I think that's where my passion for helping cats came from!

Mum and I always loved to bake together and listen to her favourite band, Fleetwood Mac. She like, never wears shoes. She's that hippie! She also made beaded jewellery as a hobby and income while dad was away. Dad wasn't home a lot, cause' he drove tour buses, but mum and dad still had a really close bond with each other.

...But then... a-about a year ago, mum and dad went missing when they went overseas... we haven't seen or heard from them since, but I'm trying to stay positive ...I'm hoping they just got lost in a forest and had to start a new life there, or something... They're such nice people, no one would want to hurt them. ...I hope not.

His baking. He learned it from mum. Mum and Brad were always baking together. He was closer to her than I was, and takes a lot after her. I however was closer to dad, or spent most of my time alone.

He’s humble about his cooking and baking, Unlike SOME people. He also likes to think he’s good at helping people, but that’s not always the case. His heart is in the right place, but he’s not equipped and experienced in life enough to deal with certain people, and he needs to realise that not everyone can be helped. If someone is drowning and pulling you into the deep end with them, you need to let go.

18 - What else are they good at?
Brad has a way with people. Unlike me, he has social charisma, and a lot more patience and tolerance than I do, but that’s not always a good thing. Some people take advantage of his kind nature, such as a certain clown.

19 - What are they not good at?
Brad is not good at dealing with conflict. He tends to avoid it until it all implodes on him. He is also not good at planning and strategy. He never thinks ahead and rushes right into things on impulse. A failure to plan, is a plan to fail. He’s also not good at math, combat, and handling his emotions. He thinks I’m not good at dealing with emotions, just because I don’t cry at the drop of a hat like he does. It really gets on my nerves when he gets overly-emotional.

20 - Do they have any artistic talent?
Yes. He is talented at cake decorations and coming up with creative and imaginative ideas… although his ideas are usually idealistic and impractical. For instance he wants to run a cat cafe business for rescue cats. While I’m glad he’s driven and determined, and his heart is in the right place, it’s not realistic. Brad couldn’t afford to buy and run a place like that, and running a place like that is a lot more work than he realises. He couldn’t do it.

No, Brad was never musically inclined.

No. He doesn't do any sports.

No. He could kick Maxx's scrawny ass though, and I wish he would.

Idealistic.

Brad sees the world through rose coloured glasses. He doesn't understand that not everyone has the same heart as he does, and he gives people the benefit of the doubt too much. His ideas and views are usually impractical and unrealistic.

His compassion. We need more of that in this world.

28 - What personality trait or behaviour particularly gets on your nerves?
When he doesn't think things through and makes stupid impulsive decisions. I’ve then got to fix his mess! It also gets on my nerves when he’s overly-emotional and crying about something. I also hate it when he tries to hide things from me in an attempt to not make me angry. Hiding things from me only makes me angrier, Brad! It’s kind of hard to hide a stinky, obnoxious clown in our house!

Yes, Brad is sociable and enjoys being around people, and people seem to like being around him too… so long as Maxx isn’t with him.

Brad tried to dress like me for a while when he was younger, but he seems to be doing his own thing now. He can be fashionable at times, but he mostly looks like a pothead, which he is, so I guess that's fitting. He finds this amusing, of course.

Being happy and making others happy.

Do you know of any deep, dark secrets they keep buried?
Yes, because Brad is terrible at lying and keeping secrets. For instance, he was wearing a scarf in the middle of summer after he shaved his face that day. Which just made it more obvious that he was secretly insecure about his double chin. My point is, Brad will try to hide something, but makes it obvious in trying to do so.

32 - Would you want them as an enemy; What sort of enemy would they make?
Well… I’d rather him be alive and hating me, rather than him being dead…

33 - How did you first meet?
I remember the day he was born. I was four-years-old, and I remember seeing mum lay there with him in her arms with dad.

He's the only person I trust and know is loyal to me, as I am to him.

I know he has something going on with Craig's sister, Makayla. Seriously, of all the women in town, he had to pursue the sister of the dickhead that bullies him? He's thinking with his dick and kicking a hornet's nest, like Maxx. Maxx is a terrible influence on Brad and influences him to do dumb shit like this.

I do, despite him getting on my nerves at times.

Of course, this is Brad, after all. Brad likes everybody.

Brad likes children and seems to know how to deal with them. He has that instinct that I don’t have.

...Well, our parents were a part of the 1960s hippie culture and remained in that lifestyle. So, as you can imagine, some of their parenting methods were rather unconventional. I can remember living on a bus for a period of time as we travelled around the country. They liked to move around a lot, and never liked to settle anywhere for very long, so we moved schools every couple of years. I hated constantly moving and travelling. It seemed as soon as I had finaly settled in somewhere, they wanted to move again. This might be why I crave stability and routine as much as I do.

Our mother, Eleanora was a homemaker and loved to cook. She also made jewellery as a hobby and side-hustle, while dad was away for work. Brad liked to cook and bake with her and learned everything from her. She was more talkative and sociable than dad was. Mum was well-meaning, and had good intentions, but she went about things in the wrong way. She was concerened about me because I didn't like to go out and be around other people much. So, she tried to force me to be more social, which only made me want to socialise less.

Our father, Nikolai drove tour buses around the country for a living and was like a walking enycolpedia. He was fascinated by the world and did what he was passionate about. He wasn't at home a lot due to his job. Dad also liked plants and would bring home different plants he came across on his travels, placing them around the house, or planting them in the garden. I found my solace in the garden. I enjoyed the peace and quiet I found there, alone and undisturbed. I love my family, but I never felt that I fit in, or that I was understood. Brad tries to understand me, and is accepting of my introverted nature, however.

Our parents have been gone for a year now... they went missing on a trip overseas... Brad still clings onto hope that they're alive and well, but I think he only tells himself that as a coping mechanism...I've had my time to grieve their loss, but Brad hasn't...

45 – And finally. If you could change one thing about them, what would it be?
I wish Brad would listen to me when I tell him not to do certain things. I’m not trying to be a "control freak" like he thinks I am.

I've seen a lot more shit than he's ever seen in his life, I know how shitty the world and the people in it can be.

He’s the epitome of what your parents don’t want you to grow up to be. He’s hopeless, directionless, and a pathological liar. He never cleans up after himself, or cleans himself much at all. He’s a self-absorbed narcissist that uses people and only cares about himself.

He’s mentally 3-years-old, but says he’s 21-years-old, even though his passport says he was born in 1965, which would make him 24-years-old. That’s only ONE of many lies he tells people.

A fucking mess! He looks like someone doused him with orange paint, and then he fell into a pile of clown’s clothes. I don’t understand how anyone could think they look “sexy” like that, but he seems to think he does for whatever reason. I don’t know what goes on in his fucked up head.

*Laughs* Yeah, that stupid fake tramp stamp tattoo of that pink snake. It’s supposed to be a sexual innuendo, of course. It should be an orange snake, but whatever. I don’t even want to think about that... Anyway, he has the nerve to brag to me, with my sleeve tattoo, about his “real” tattoo. How stupid does he think I am? I have a real tattoo and know a fake tattoo when I see one.

Pfft, no, there’s nothing on him. I can easily throw him like a rag doll. The only sport he does is running away from me, when he pisses me off, and he can’t run very well.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly he can mess up the house. I leave a tidy home and come back to a war zone.

He thinks he’s this musical prodigy and casanova. He is neither of these things, very far from it. No woman in their right mind would go near a dirty pervert like him, and he always has some excuse why he can’t sing or play his guitar. I know he’s full of shit and I enjoy grilling him on his bullshit, and making him squirm in front of Brad.

18 - What else are they good at?
He’s good for throwing out the window.

19 - What are they not good at?
It would be more efficient for me to write a list of things he’s good at, rather than things he’s not good at, otherwise we’ll be here all day, and neither you nor I have the time or patience for that. To give a brief summary: Maxx is not good at lying, but thinks he is, but he’s not fooling anyone. Brad knows he’s lying, but gives him the benefit of the doubt too much. Which brings me to my next point: Maxx is also terrible friend. Everything revolves around him, and he’s just using Brad for his hospitality. Brad should charge him for his shit, or kick him out!

No. His handwriting is a complete mess. He designed his own band t-shirts, and did so when he was drunk, on a napkin, and he didn’t even spell ‘Sex Beest’ correctly, so it reads as ‘Sex Bees’. You can only imagine the mockery he deals with over that, and good. He deserves it.

Well, like I said, he always makes excuses to cover up his pathological lying about being a rockstar. I heard him sing in the shower, and I thought one of Brad’s cats was in heat or something. It was god awful. It’s a blessing he keeps making excuses not to sing. No one should ever hear that.

No.

*laughs* No. Brad could easily beat him up, and I wish he would.

Despicable.

Maxx is loathsome with his appalling treatment of others, his stink, his objectification of women, and his string of bullshit lies. He’s completely unlikeable with no redeeming qualities to him. Not only do I find him loathsome, I also find him fucking annoying too!

27 - What do you like best about them?
I don’t like anything about him. Unlike Brad, I don’t believe everyone has good in them. Some people just don’t, and Maxx is one of those people.

28 - What personality trait or behaviour particularly gets on your nerves?
In other words: What pisses me off the most about him? That would be treating Brad like shit, after everything he does for him. He’s an ungrateful little shit.

One night, Maxx and Brad come home from a club and Maxx was having a tantrum because Brad had allegedly scared off some women he was chatting up, and the little shit had the nerve to say it was because of his weight. Before I could say anything--and to my surprise, Brad actually called him out on his shit, saying they were talking to him, and Maxx was being a creep to them, which is why they left. Yeah, no shit.

Maxx then has the fucking audacity to pull the “How dare you blame me?! After everything I’ve done for you?!” card, and punches the wall. Ohhhh, I lost my fucking shit and I grabbed the fucker by his scarf and slammed him into the wall!

No. Maxx may be outgoing, but he’s not sociable. Those things are not always one in the same. Maxx doesn’t care about other people and he doesn’t understand how people work. He has no idea how to deal with people. Nobody likes him. I don’t even think Brad likes him, I think he just pities him. I can tell he gets annoyed by him, but is too polite to say so. He’s a lot like mum.

Absolutely not! I already explained this in question 12. Perhaps this should have been tied into that question.

Himself. Maxx only cares about himself and nobody else.

Maxx can’t lie to save his life, so he sure as shit couldn’t keep a secret buried. I know damn well he’s a virgin because he tries so hard to convince us that he’s not. Why the fuck else would he moan along to a clip of a woman’s orgasm in his bedroom, acting as if he has a real woman in there with him? He’s not fooling anybody.

It would be one-sided, as he’d be completely stupid to want to fuck with me. I can easily put him in a coma.

33 - How did you first meet?
Well, I was sitting at the kitchen table, reading the newspaper, when suddenly this scrawny man in a leopard print G-string entered the kitchen. He caught me off guard, and I thought he was an intruder--a junkie or something, because who the fuck walks around like that?

I pinned him against the wall and his demeanour changed from cocky to scared, he just about wet himself. I told him to tell me who he was and what he was doing in my house, and you know what his response was? “How could you not know who I am?! I’m the famous rockstar, Maxxy Malone of Sex Beest!” ...I-i was just stunned and at a loss for words. Brad then rushed into the room when he heard the commotion and explained to me that this man was a hitchhiker “friend” he brought back with him last night. Ohhh, you bet I was livid!

I took Brad aside and had a word with him about the obvious unwanted elephant in the room, which caused an argument between us, then said elephant had the nerve to wedge itself between us and our conversation. He acts like someone who was handed everything on a silver platter, and I suspect he had a spoiled upbringing. There’s also that his name is Maxwell Malone. Maxwell Malone was the Mayor of Swanton in the 50s and 60s, and Maxx bears a physical resemblance to him. I suspect Maxx is his Grandson. If his parents had Maxx later in their lives, it would add up.

You would think being a mayor’s grandson and coming from an aristocratic family would be what he would lie and brag about, rather than the other way around with him growing up in the slums. The only logical reason I could think of for Maxx living a lie as a poor man, is to garner sympathy and emulate other rock stars who had it rough like Vivienne Vivacious. Maxx however, has not had it rough and that’s plain to see in the way he carries himself and feels entitled to everything.

45 – And finally. If you could change one thing about them, what would it be?
Oh boy. I don’t think Maxx will ever change. There’s no good in him, and he’s stuck in his shitty ways. Brad believes he can change and wants to help him, but frankly, he’s wasting his time and hurting himself in the process. The best thing would be for Maxx to just go away, or drop dead.

I found him hitchhiking on the side of the road one day, he stuck out like a sore thumb in those neon clothes amongst all those trees! I gave him a ride and we hung out for a bit, which ended in me bringing him back to my place, cause’ he had nowhere to go. We soon became friends and he ended up living with me and my brother, Blake. Oh man, Blake really hates Maxx!

...Uhh, Maxx is... pretty out there haha. He’s loud, super confident… too confident, and he can kinda be a jerk sometimes.

Maxx is... one of a kind, I guess you could say. It’s funny cause’ he tries to copy everyone else, but doesn’t copy them properly and ends up being his own original thing anyway. He tries really hard to be Vivienne Vivacious, but wears these bright, clashing colours and patterns in his attempt at copying his glam rock style and ends up looking like a clown, which I think would be pretty cool if he rocked it and owned it, but he gets angry and mean when people call him a clown or find him funny when he wasn’t trying to be.

13 – Do they have any distinguishing features; scars or tattoos?
Well… he’s got a… kinda tattoo, haha… he says it’s real, but I know it’s not. It’s one of those stick on tattoos you get in cereal boxes.

Maxx is super thin, but super unfit at the same time. I think even I’m fitter than him.

Well, Maxx gets bruises from the fights he gets in. He says he gets into fist fights and wins every time, but like, if he’s the winner, why is he so bruised all the time? He seems to get into these fights a lot.... and I can kinda see why. He doesn’t have a filter and can be pretty inappropriate, so I think he just pisses off the wrong person and they beat him up for it.

Entertaining people? There’s never a dull moment with Maxx, that’s for sure. He always seems to be the life of the party, even if it isn’t in the way he intended.

Maxx thinks he’s this casanova with the ladies, but I’ve never seen him with a lady before. I hear him in his bedroom moaning along with the pizza shop sex scene in American Pizza 2, like he wants me to think he has a girl in there with him, but dude, come on, I know!
Whenever we go out somewhere, he likes to think of himself as like, a coach to me, he’s like “Watch n’ learn as Maxxy picks up that hot redhead over there, B-rad!” and I just politely smile and nod and let him do his schtick… and it always fails, and he always blames someone or something else, and sometimes even me… To be totally honest, if anyone needs a coach, it’s him. He has no idea how to even talk to people and will often say stuff that you should never ever say, or even think of!

I guess he’s good at… determination? He doesn’t give up easily or let rejections bring him down... but I guess this can also be a bad thing when it comes to women.

Well, like I was talking about before--boundaries. He’s not good when it comes to people’s boundaries and picking up on their vibes. He’s not very good with people in general. It’s like he doesn’t understand them.

Whenever he’s upset or angry, he takes it out on other people, especially me, which totally sucks! I also get the feeling he’s lying to me about a bunch of stuff…

He also told me his mum was a movie star in her heyday.
