Chapter 1 Synopsis: The year is 1988 and the Sabatini brothers flee their burning house in Golden Shore, Australia, searching to start a new life elsewhere. Idealistic dreamer, Brad Sabatini, reflects fondly on their past in Golden Shore, but his older brother, cynical realist, Blake, doesn't share the same sentiment about their past or their present with the neon-clad hitchhiker Brad picks up from the roadside, leading them to a coastal town called Selene Valley.
