This is a commission for She wanted this flashback of Yvette/Nariko and Dougal when they were teenagers!

This is also for Yvette's backstory task for

Dougal Springer is a character we created who is someone from Yvette's past. This is a time before Nariko went by the name Yvette and dyed her hair orange, and there is a reason for that other than her wanting to be an "Iconic Viqueen". Dougal and Yvette were best friends in highschool, but Dougal wanted something more than that. Yvette didn't feel the same way and had eyes for another. Andreas Odegaard.

Andreas is an old character of mine from years ago, my older watchers might remember him! Yvette has an obsessive crush on him, despite him being unaware of her existence and being gay, unbeknownst to her. Craig and Jaclyn also appear in the background as they were friends with Andreas. Yvette, Dougal, Craig, Makayla, Jaclyn, and Andreas all went to Beach Cliff High together. But they were not all friends, of course. Yvette and Dougal were the school outcasts who bonded over geeky hobbies. Dougal was often the target of bullying for his strange behaviour, especially by Craig, who refered to him as 'Doodle Dinger' and "Dougal the doodle." Makayla always thought that kid gave her the creeps and urged Craig to knock it off.

Dougal tried everything he could to win Nariko's affection, but to no avail. No matter how many times she assured him they were just friends, he remained undeterred in his "quest for his maiden's hand". He bought her random gifts, faked interest in her interests, and even tried emulating Andreas, very terribly trying to dress and act like him to impress her. But it didn't work. Dougal hated Craig and Andreas with a passion and blamed them for his failures. He swore to do whatever it took to take his "fair maiden's" hand and get his vengence on them someday.

One day, Dougal sees the perfect opportunity to win Nariko over: The school dance. He believes she is guaranteed to be his "maiden" if he buys her a nice dress and takes her to the dance. Yvette ends up loving the dress, gushing over it, which Dougal mistakes as an invtiation to make out with her, feeling entitled to her now, much to Nariko's horror. She fights him off her and runs away from him, telling him to stay away from her and that she will never love him.

Nariko moved schools after that to get away from him, and that was the last time she saw Dougal. However, that wasn't the last time Dougal saw Nariko... as he continued to watch her from afar. Everyday he would ride past her house on his bicycle to sneak a glance at her through the window. When it is discovered that Dougal had been stalking Nariko, her family decide to move house. Nariko also changes up her appearance, dying her hair orange and going by the name Yvette in hopes Dougal won't find her again.

Things were quiet and peaceful for the years that followed and Dougal had become just an unpleasant memory she wanted to forget. That is until come present day when Yvette recieves letters from a "secrat amirer!" signed by "Andres."

Short sum-up: Cat-loving chef

Physical description: Brad is 5"8' and has a chubby build. He has soft facial features with a round and chubby face. He has a round nose, a curved mouth and stubble on his chin. He has an olive tan complexion, Cerulean blue eyes, and Mid-length chestnut brown hair with long bangs swept to his right side. He often gets told he dresses like a weed dealer from the 70s, much to his own amusement. His style is probably best described as hippie grunge rocker from the 70s and 80s era. He has two piercings on his right lobe, and two on his left, along with a helix in his left ear. He has a circled dot tattoo with 8 points surrounding it. It is located on his right thumb. Members of The 'Sun Shire' commune each had one. The women would have one on their left thumb, the men would have one on their right thumb.

Three personality adjectives: Jovial, Idealistic, Impulsive.

DOB: 20 February, 1966 (22 currently)

As you all guessed, yes, Brad is indeed a cat-loving chef! xD His cat, Keke, is his little side-kit and mascot! He is an all-round chef, but he mostly specialises in baking. He is currently a home cook and freelancer, baking treats to sell at bake sales to raise money to help stray cats, but he becomes a successful chef with his own cook book and also a cat cafe, where he also runs an adoption program to find the cats forever homes.

Brad is humble about his success and talents. He is an easy-going big softy who loves to laugh and make others laugh, too. He enjoys cheesy humor and loves to make cat puns and puns in general. In his downtime, he likes to unwind by making some pot cakes, but he has his habits under control.

He's outgoing and pretty confident, but he can be socially awkward in an endearing way, he's not exactly shy, but does have his moments of shyness when it comes to romantic interests. He cares a great deal about the people he surrounds himself with and tends to put others before himself, which can be a blessing or a curse.

The photos on the cabinets are of his loved ones: His girlfriend Makayla (Round 9) and his older brother Blake, who is like his polar opposite. The photo of his family is located down the bottom away from the other photos, because it is from the past, Brad's parents are no longer living. The other photos are from the present.

The signed poster is from Maxx from the previous round (11), who Brad finds hitchhiking and takes into his home to help out, but little did he know what hurricane he let into his life. Even if Maxx is a clown - Brad still cares about him, in spite of everything he's done to him. Brad's relationship with Maxx is complicated and more will be revealed on that later in the round, among many other things, too!
